All Eyes (2022)

All Eyes follows a controversial podcast host (Allen) and an eccentric farmer (Don) teamed up to hunt a monster at a rural farmhouse.
We begin with an episode of Allen's podcast USSane that (in a way) exploits individuals that experience bizarre and dark things. The second time he interviews this one individual leads to a very dark demise, in which the interviewee has a woman locked up in a room and he takes a gun to his own head. The podcast is quickly cancelled while the situation is under investigation.
A disappointed Allen starts going through some letters from fans to catch a story to help with his comeback. This is how he meets Don (not a fan but his late wife was).
Don offers Allen $15k to come out and kill the monster in the woods. Don calls him "Eyes". He even draws a super accurate picture of him:
His entire house is booby trapped with some serious defense mechanisms, and he gives Allen fair warning about what to happen if things go south.
This had all of the makings of a fantastic indie low budget horror film, but it misses the mark. If this were fine tuned, it would be an 8/10 for me. It's not bad, I would even say it's pretty great. The movie takes a turn about 15 minutes from the end the I didn't love the direction it went in. It could have done better.
